Do you feel that the data connection is slow?

Your web access speed depends on many factors, mainly, :

• Your link speed to IP-VPN (i.e. local link)
• Internet Access Bandwidth from SchoolNet NOC to Internet
• The total traffic to the site you are accessing.

You can check your local link data rate with the SchoolNet Servers by using a special software called "iperf". Download that software from here. Follow the instructions given in the following web site:

Install the software and run it in the client mode (from the Command Window in Windows XP).

iperf -c speed.schoolnet.lk

Observe the outputs and send this to admin@schoolnet.lk along with your School Name and a contact name and telephone number.
